Luigi Ganna starts racing in 1905. The talent of the young athlete from Induno Olona is immediately evident, who will win numerous races. In 1909 he won the first edition of the Giro d’Italia and the Milan San Remo. With the earnings from racing he buys a house and a workshop where he begins to build bicycles with his own brand. In 1914 he left racing to devote himself full time to the new activity and subsequently to the preparation of a racing team obtaining numerous victories, the most prestigious of all being that of the 1951 Giro d’Italia with Fiorenzo Magni.
The bike is original in every detail, original paint and decals.
It is equipped with Ganna hubs, cranks and pedals. Vittoria Margherita “Tour de France” derailleur. Ambrosio handlebar and stem. Saddle Italia. Universal Extra brakes. Original Sieber wooden rims. The bike is equipped with the original pump marked Ganna.
A conservative restoration has been carried out on the bike and it is ready to be pedaled.
