Piemonte in Italy fully enters the history of cycling in Italy. Land of cyclists and famous builders who have brought the art of frame construction to the highest levels since the early 1900s. The proximity to France, home of the bicycle, has certainly favored the birth of many companies and artisan activities which, despite being influenced by the Oltralpe, have then been able to stand out for their originality and quality. Large companies such as Maino or small entrepreneurial activities such as Gerbi, Amerio, Quattrocchio, Peloso and Welter, or even producers who have linked their names to the great champions Bartali and Coppi such as Santamaria and Fiorelli from Novi Ligure, are only among the most famous among a myriad of small craftsmen who made beautiful bicycles throughout the first half of the 1900s and, in some cases, even beyond.
The bicycle presented is a classic example of a Piedmontese bike made with quality. With elegant and streamlined lines, it is probably from the late 1920s. The bike is in very good condition, complete with original mudguards and is equipped with wheel hub, band brakes, FN leather saddle, narrow iron racing rims. A conservative restoration has been carried out on the bike and it is ready to be pedaled.
