Description

This post is also available in: itItaliano

In 1898 the bicycle production of the Prinetti & Stucchi company began. Subsequently, in 1902, following the appointment of Giulio Prinetti as Foreign Minister, who would sell his shares to Augusto Stucchi in order not to incur a conflict of interest with his position as minister, the company changed its company name to Stucchi & C. In 1910 he began participating in competitive races with his own team, winning the 1914 Giro d’Italia with Alfonso Calzolari and in 1919 with Costante Girardengo.

The bike is in excellent condition. Original paint, decals and chrome.

It is equipped with a Simplex “Tour de France” 5-speed gearbox. Patent Universal brakes 453949. Ambrosio Super stem and handlebar. Scheffield Sprint pedals. Campagnolo Gran Sport hubs. Saddle Italia. Nisi rims.

A conservative restoration has been carried out on the bike and it is ready to be pedaled.
